You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a HAT!
October 24, 2011
They say you can tell a lot about a person by the shoes they wear, but what about hats? There’s nothing like sprucing up an outfit by topping it off with a ‘how do you do?’ tip of the hat. In the old days the type of hat you wore said just as much about you as the shoes you walked in.
Hats have been a staple style accessory for every generation allowing people to express their taste and also as a marker of what type of lifestyle one has.
And let’s face it, it added grace to Audrey.
It made the exceptionally mad hatter an exceptional trend setter.
Bridesmaids use it to add a little spunk to their pastel prettiness.
Hats are special enough that we’ve made it, in the brides case, a staple to one of the happiest day’s of our lives.
Hats like these can completely excite an outfit and make a plain white shirt go from bland to glam…did I just say that, well, ok corny ’cause it rhymes, but awesome because it’s true!
And if those are too fancy shamncy, then a simple baseball hat will do and although highly suggested, mustache is optional.
Cowboy hats are not just a thing of the west, they are great style accessories to a nice denim pants a beautiful Mr.Kate necklace and a plain white-t, only, please, don’t get too excited, one hat at a time will do just fine.
This Halloween, it can even be used along side DIY make-up to make for a fun and unique costume!
Here are our very own Mr.Kate hat wearers with fun Halloween face paint check out our “DIY-unzip your true colors Halloween make-up” section.
And in case you have a hat that needs an extra UMPH! Then DIY and take a feather, scraps of jewelry or even a button, a glue gun and vuaahhhallaa!!
And yes, head scarfs count as a hat.
Hats just make everything so much more “Well, hellllooo DOlly!” And if you don’t take my word for it, then take this little guys face for it and yes this Groucho Marx mustache is real, just don’t stare too hard, I dear say he’s sensitive. 😉
Hats, it’s what you wear from ear to ear!
